Installation

Gcovr is available as a Python package that can be installed via pip.

Install newest stable gcovr release from PyPI:

pip install gcovr

Install development version from GitHub:

pip install git+https://github.com/gcovr/gcovr.git

Which environments does gcovr support?

Python:

3.8+.

The automated tests run on CPython (versions 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12) and a compatible PyPy3. Gcovr will only run on Python versions with upstream support.

Operating System:

Linux, Windows, and macOS.

The automated tests run on Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04 and Windows Server 2019.

The automated tests run on GCC 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and clang 10, 13, 14, and 15.
